Norman Alexander (born 1915) was a painter known especially for his street scenes of west and south London. He exhibited at the New English Art Club in 1948 (two paintings of Notting Hill), at the Royal Academy in 1956/57 (works of Paddington, Wimbledon and Southwark) and at the Royal Glasgow Institute in 1958 (a painting of Kennington). In the 1950s he lived in Clancarty Road in Fulham and he had a studio at the well-known Trafalgar Studios in Manresa Road, Chelsea. He also exhibited with The Redfern Gallery in the 1950s and 1960s.
