Mary Malenoir - Landscape (Grey & Brown)

Title: 'Landscape (Grey & Brown)'

Description: A framed original oil painting with impasto, probably on a board or thick paper, but we have not examined the painting out of its original frame. The painting isn't signed recto and has the label verso of the first owner, a Mr Bernard Lamb, ARIBA, an architect from South Kensington in the late 1960s. Mr Lamb was a collector of the work of Mary Malenoir and we have other examples from his collection. The work appears to be in excellent original condition. The frame has signs of wear and tear. In particular there is a chip to the surface at lower left and some white paint is on the inner edge of the frame at centre right. There is also some minor damp staining to the upper left of the mount.
