Richard Walker (born 1954) is a well-known painter, graphic artist, printmaker and muralist. He was born in Yorkshire and studied at Kingston School of Art, 1972–73; Camberwell School of Art, 1973-76; at Chelsea School of Art, 1976-77 where he gained a master’s degree in printmaking. He has travelled extensively through America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Solo exhibitions included Metropolitan at New Academy Gallery, 1998. The British Council, Cleveland City Art Gallery USA, The National Theatre and MIMA in Middlesbrough hold examples of his work.
