Ann Brunskill, RE (1923-2018) was a well-known painter, printmaker and author of illustrated hand-made books under the imprint of The World’s End Press. She was born in London and studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts and Chelsea College of Art, gaining her diploma in 1962. She exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1964 and also with the Royal Society of Painter Etchers, of which society she was a full member. Ann Brunskill had a number of solo shows including on three occasions with the Duncan Campbell Gallery in London. Museums, public galleries and universities in Britain, France, Australia and the United States hold her work, which is often about people and their relationships. She lived in London for many years and later near Ashford in Kent.
