Russell Sidney Reeve, RBA, RE (1895-1970) was a well known painter and printmaker, born at Hethersett in Norfolk. Reeve studied at the Slade School under Tonks and Steer and at the Royal College of Art. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1927, the New English Art Club from 1921, Royal Society of British Artists, London Group, etc, and his work is represented in many public collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Tate Gallery, UCL Art Museum, Bruce Castle Museum Haringey, and Colchester & Ipswich Museums Service. He worked extensively in East Anglia, and also in Europe, often in Spain and Portugal.
