John Bond (born 1945, Cromer, Norfolk) is a well-known painter of landscapes and coastal scenes in oil, gouache and watercolour. He studied at Norwich School of Art and then at the Central School of Art in London. In 1965 he became designer for a book publisher in Guildford and it was there at the Chaucer Studio Gallery that he had his first solo show. In addition to his views of his native East Anglia, John Bond has also painted extensively in France and the West Indies. His work is mainly exhibited in solo shows and he has also exhibited at the Marjorie Parr Gallery in Chelsea, The Upstairs Gallery at the Royal Academy, and the Westcliffe Gallery in Sheringham, Norfolk.
