Title: 'Highland Fossil'

Description: This mixed media painting has part of the original artist's backboard fixed to the reverse of the newly made frame, which gives the title of the work - 'Highland Fossil - and the artist's name and his then address in Craigendoran Avenue, Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire, which dates the painting to between c 1967 and 1987, when the artist was living in Helensburgh. It is in good original condition and has been housed by us in a new frame which has been fitted with Artglass AR 70, which has anti reflective properties and a good level of UV protection. The artist painted regularly in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
