Hans Schwarz RWS RP NEAC (1922-2003) Austrian born artist whom spent most of his life in the UK. Fled Austria in 1938 and later studied at the Birmingham College of Art. After working as a freelance illustrator producing work for Shell and BOAC amongst others, he became a full-time painter. His work is held by the National Portrait Gallery and in other public collections.
