Sidney Dennant Moss, RBA (1884-1946) was a well-known painter of landscapes and town scenes in both oil and watercolour. He was born at Ipswich in Suffolk an exhibited his work at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, the Paris Salon, and in Glasgow and Liverpool. Moss was a member of Suffolk Artists and Brighton Arts Club and he painted many scenes in London and Sussex. He lived for a time at Tunbridge Wells.
