Anthony Day (1922-2023) was a well-known painter mainly in watercolour and gouache, chiefly of subjects he found in the Fen country. He was born and lived in Wicken, Cambridgeshire, and studied at Cambridge School of Art and also with J Anthony Betts at Reading University. He exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, and the New English Art Club and he had many solo shows mostly in East Anglia. His work is held in several public collections.
